Another lovely day on the Riviera with temperatures in the mid to high 70s in mid day.
We took bus 100 for just one Euro from Beaulieu into Nice where we disembarked at Place Garibaldi. (Nice was part of Italy until the mid 1800s.). We strolled the narrow, medieval, pedestrian-only streets of Vieux, or, Old Nice. It reminded us of the Khan el Kalili in Cairo, although tamer, but still filled with spice stalls etc. Eventually, we made it to the open market on Cour Saleya. We bought a tomato and a sausage and, later, a sandwich and some Nicoise vegetable sandwich or pasty sort of food and went and ate it on a wall overlooking the beach. The beach was pretty full with others enjoying the sun.
Then, we took the bus back "home" and later, took a walk around the marina and looked at the luxury yachts.
