C'est Magnifique! The Riviera, April 14

We left Arles after a great breakfast a la Mark.  We had such a great time, it was sad to say au revoir to Jerry.

We broke our promise to stay on back roads.  The time difference was just too great and the region too crowded.  Sometimes principles must be compromised.  The toll between Arles and Nice was about 21€.  Sigh.  The day was sunny and beautiful...about 21C or 70F.  It took us about three hours.

Sometimes places we rent fail to meet our expectations, but this apartment far exceeds what we expected.  We are on the fifth floor in Beaulieu sur Mer, just outside of Cap Ferrat where we stayed two years ago, visiting Stan and Craig.  We can actually see the harbor and the village of Eze.  The only complication will be parking at 8.40€ per day on the street and finding a spot.
We took a walk, found a little market open.  (All the supermarkets close at 12:45 on Sunday). We had a dinner of....surprise, surprise...baguette, Brie, pâté, strawberries and apples!  We also walked along the harbor and then ate on our deck, looking at the huge cliffs, huge villas, the water, the harbor and boats.  Pinch us!
