Another sunny day! Mark and I drove to Angers to pick up Michael and Nancy who were arriving from Paris via the high-speed train. We got there about 15 minutes before their arrival. But, when the people emptied the train - no Michael and Nancy! And, we knew they had no cell phone as they gave theirs to Julia. We thought we'd have to wait for the next train....and, lo and behold! There was Nancy. They had caught an earlier train and were out sitting by a fountain in the sun. Whew!
So, we all drove back to Ligne, first stopping in Doue-la-Fontaine for some food and then came back and had sandwiches in the garden. It was warm enough for shorts. Michael and Nancy are pretty tired from their days in Paris, so we all decided to simply stay and enjoy the garden for the day. It was very, very relaxing.
Mark made some wonderful French (of course) onion soup. We had that for dinner, also in the garden. It stayed light until around 8:30. Michael and Nancy heard from Michelle and Julia that they arrived without problems in Zurich where they are staying with one of Michelle's friends. We all took a nice stroll around Ligne, meeting the farmer, Claude, along the way.
And....Happy 12th birthday to Cole!
