Vienna, Part 3 - May 5

Another great day.
We started out at the Nuschmarkt, a long open-air market. At the end, on Saturdays, there is a flea market. So, we all wandered the flea market and then the food part. Mark and Barbara shared a shwarma and Mike and Nancy shared a large sausage/hot dog. Mark got some fresh vegetables for dinner as well as veal for weinschnitzel from the butcher who cut it specially in thin slices.
And, then, of course, he made a lovely dinner with parsnips/peas/onions as one dish, rosemary roasted potatoes, and the weinerschnitzel, appropriate for Wein. (Vienna)
Later we all walked to Karlplatz where there was a Russian concert with a men's choir and a woman's singing group. ( M Turetsky Choir and Soprano). It was pretty schmaltzy and there was a fair amount of nationalism. Russian emigres were singing along to what we assumed were folk songs and waving U.S.S.R. flags. But, it was interesting.
Then, we walked in the historic district and ended back at the Opera House where we sat outside and watched the 2nd act of the ballet. It was great - very imaginative choreography and very humorous.
