Reservation changing, Houston speeding ticket...ugh! March 2

We started off today in a great way at the bed and breakfast chatting with our fellow travelers, a couple from France and a couple from England, both well traveled and both who recommended that we put Sri Lanka high on our list of places to visit.
We got out of New Orleans easily and headed west on I-10. We stopped Breaux Bridge, a little town for lunch and ate at a little place called Le Cafe. We had fried oysters and fried shrimp which was quite good, actually.

We decided to change our reservations as we had booked into the South Shore Resort south of Houston, but the website said that the pool area was closed, a reason we had booked it. It took a while to sort out because they wanted to charge us the full price to cancel. (So, we'd have stayed there, but decided to appeal it due to the change in amenities) Long story short - after 3 phone calls, we were able to get the reservation cancelled. We are at a Comfort Inn in Katy, Texas, just west of Houston which will make our drive tomorrow a lot easier.
All day we had terrible drivers all around us - weavers, tailgaters...... But, go figure...Mark got a speeding ticket while going with the flow through Houston. The posted speed limit was 60, but everyone was going 75ish. But, we got bagged. So, now we have a $220 ticket to pay and...who knows if it will affect our insurance.
Sushi take out for dinner....we are tired. It was a longer day than we expected.
