Today we left Jan's. We had such a wonderful time with her that we hated to leave. She was so gracious with her time and energy. She packed us leftovers so that we could eat lunch along the way.

A car that was covered in duct tape! |
We drove about 400 miles on I-10 to Phoenix.

Our hotel, a Quality Inn, was a bit further away from the city than we'd have liked and the internet was unreliable. However, there was a nice hot tub which was great after our long drive. Then, we went into Phoenix to one of our very favorite restaurants, Dick's Hideaway. We have eaten there twice before; the first time we struggled to find it as it is tiny and has no sign! You just have to know. And, it only has 3 tables. And, it did not disappoint us. We both had remarkable and creative meals. Barbara had a Mahi tuna with blueberry salsa - yum. Mark had Chimayo Chicken which was stuffed with cheese and covered with red chili sauce. We both had a medley of vegetables that was amazing - broccoli rabe, beets, white asparagus.
