May 26, Memorial Day

Lupins |
We started our day by going to the river ( Blackfoot) with David and Dutch.
It was a lovely day and a nice walk. Afterwards, we went back to David and Maura's for lunch. We left so David and Maura could run errands and do chores such a mowing and weed whacking.
We had a lovely family dinner back at their house. We did a video chat with Mary, Phil and Sandy in Bridgewater. Maura made a wonderful chicken salad and we had salad followed by a crumble and ice cream. A nice family day.

Mark dropped Barbara David's quite early. Maura was at work. David took Barbara on a 4-mile hike at Red Rocks with Dutch as part of her training for the hike in Ireland. She wore her new Camelbak water bladder. They did the hike in about 1 and a half hours which was pretty good time. There were beautiful lupins and balsam root flowers.
Mark ran errands and talked with Norman Moore about how our car is doing with the repairs on the Cape. We hope it will be finished when we get back home next week.
