Missoula, May 21, 22

May 21

View from our apartment on Spruce

We had a quiet day adjusting the time zone. We did some shopping at REI in preparation for Barbara and Jecca's Irish hiking trip in June. We also bought a pair of small binoculars because we left ours home and have wanted a small pair with which to travel. We also went to the Good Foods Store, always a pleasure.

We went over to David and Maura's for dinner. Maura made some elk/beef burgers and grilled them. It was accompanied by a nice salad. It was a very pleasant evening.

May 22 A Day at "Scuplture in the Wild"

"Tree Circus" It has 10 chambers with 5 open to the sky. It also has double walls.

We drove to Lincoln, Montana in the Blackfoot Valley, about 80 miles from Missoula with David and Maura who both took the day off.

It was a bit chilly and cloudy and we thoroughly enjoyed the creativity of the park which is full of what is called "land art."

It began in 2014 as an International Sculpture Symposium with 5 artists working on site-specific installations.

It now has many more sculptures set in 26 acres.

In the evening, we met up Zoo Thai for dinner.
