We had breakfast with Jerry on April 7 and decided to take the long route to Beaulieu-sur-Mer. What could have been a 2-3 hour drive turned into a 4-5 hour drive through the mountains to Digne-les-Bains and then south to Beaulieu. We drove on twisty mountain roads between towering cliffs with snow fields in the distance.
We arrived in Beaulieu around 4 and were let in to our apartment on the 6th floor overlooking the harbor (and the train.) We walked to the SuperU and got lots of fruits and vegetables. (Time to rein in the eating!)
On the second day in Beaulieu, we walked the 2 miles to St Jean Cap Ferrat and back.
It was very windy and a bit chilly. After lunch, we drove on the lower corniche to Eze and into Monaco. We didn't stop, just looked about.
