Arrival in Stockholm and First Full Day, September 2 & 3

   September 1 & 2 Travel Days

We left Concord and drove to Roslindale and left our car with Alec and JuliAnn. Then, we took an Uber to Logan where we spent time in the

Sky Lounge before boarding a Virgin Air flight (affiliated with Delta) to London. All was smooth and on time. And, we both slept for about 3-4 hours which was good We spent almost 5 hours at Heathrow and found a great place to nap in the SAS lounge. And, we both managed to nap and have a light meal.

Then, we boarded an SAS flight to Stockholm which took two and a half hours. Mark bought a 3-day transportation pass which covers all the public transport.

We took an Uber into our flat: tyska blinken, 28 in Gamla Stan (the old town.) 3

As the area is pedestrianized, the Uber dropped us in the vicinity, and it took a bit of time to find our little street. Then, it was a bit of a challenge to figure out the codes to the building and our flat which is at 1.5 stories.

This is the "half story" to the flat!

The flat is spare and adequate: great shower, nice bed, little kitchen, washing machine and the best thing: a GREAT location.

September 3 Exploring

We slept really well and I don't think we have jet lag.  We went to our nearby T station where we got a map of the underground. We went to Hoterget by subway and walked around eventually eating at the big food hall at Kajsas Fisk where we

both had delicious fish meals - one of cod and one of salmon. And, we bought decaf coffee to make at the flat.

After a break, we went out and explored Gamla Stan island.
Parliament

We walked up to the Royal Palace and then along the docks so that we know where to catch the ferries we might want to
take.
